The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts is set to expand its ever sprawling global coverage with the news it has signed a deal with BFBS to bring BAMMA 14 to the British armed forces.
Hot on the heels of last month's news that BAMMA was to become one of the most televised MMA shows on the planet thanks to major television network deals across the Middle East, Europe's premier promotion seem keen to show they have not forgotten about domestic fans. The British Forces Broadcasting Service (BFBS) provide television and radio coverage to servicemen and women and their families at military bases the world over and will be showing live MMA for the first time when Paul "Semtex" Daley headlines at the LG Arena in Birmingham on the 14th December.
Debbie Barrett, head of acquisitions and planning at BFBS said:
“Mixed Martial Arts is hugely popular with servicemen and women. BFBS
is delighted to be able to show coverage of BAMMA14 to British troops
BFBS viewers with satellite, cable or a set-top box will have full access to the BAMMA 14 live card which will be broadcast in the UK on Channel 5* between 9 and 11pm (GMT) and includes high profile names such as Max Nunes, Colin "Freakshow" Fletcher, and the ever popular "Judo" Jim Wallhead.
