Swans to Sign Tom Ince?

Swansea City are on the verge of completing the signing of Blackpool winger Tom Ince. Ince, a long term target for the Welsh club, as been given permission for talks ahead of a loan move, with the possibility of a permanent transfer in the summer.

The Swans are closing in on Blackpool's talented wide-man Tom Ince, with the player in South Wales to discuss terms with the manager and Swansea Chairman, Huw Jenkins. Crystal Palace are also thought to be interested, however, Swansea City's stronger squad, league position, and their reputation for attractive football is thought to appeal to Ince who harbours outside hopes at making Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad following an injury to Theo Walcott.

Ince, whose father- former Manchester United and Liverpool midfielder- Paul Ince was sacked last week by Blackpool, did not play in the club's draw against Doncaster on the weekend, and is out of contract in the summer. It is thought the club will countenance a loan in order to deploy the player's wages elsewhere, with a gentleman's agreement regarding a permanent fee being reached should the Swans stay in the Premier League this season.
